Bellabeat Case Study

The goal of this case study was to find trends in how customers spend their time. The data provided and gathered by Fitbit from their users, Bellabeat wanted see how trends in user data will apply to advertising strategies and Bellabeat’s product name “Time.”

Findings; the average user will gradually stop using exercising and burning calories with the "Time" product as they have with the Fitbit. But users will wear and use the "Time" product while their sleeping or sedentary, as they have with the Fitbit. In this case study i would recommend Bellabeat advertise and focus on using the "Time" product as a sleep and sedentary tool for users. Have the users be able to track and monitor how much sleep and downtime they're having.

Cleaned, manipulated, and visualized with Excel

How data was cleaned and manipulated:

  • For the cleaning of data I formatted it from CVS formatted document into a workbook.

  • Created workbook and dashboard tabs

  • Removed user "4057192912" for only having four days logged.

  • Cleaned up all data to go to the hundredth place (.01) if they had decimals.

  • Renamed fairly columns to moderately.

  • Merge the total distance and tracker distance columns.

How data was visualized:

  • Created a chart showing total distance for the days between April and May.

  • Created a chart to show how users spend their time.

  • Created a chart to show total distance on average users traveled by date.

  • Created a chart to show average calorie loss by date.
